In Waregem Expo, the fourth edition of Transpro kicked off on Wednesday, June 3. The accessible concept of the trade fair for the transport and logistics sector ensured many networking opportunities. With about eighty exhibitors and the presence of all traditional truck brands, Transpro profiles itself again as a meeting point for everyone active in transport and logistics. From electric trucks and loading solutions to tachographs, fleet software, insurance, and HR services: the exhibition floor offered an overview of everything a modern transport company needs today. ### Uncertainty But behind the technical innovations and commercial contacts, there was also a clear concern. Conversations at the stands were not only about new vehicles or fuels, but also about rising costs, profitability, and uncertainty about future regulations. “Many transporters come here looking for answers,” says Michaël Reul, secretary-general of UPTR. Themes such as the truck tax in the Netherlands, ETS2, RED III, and the transition to emission-free vehicles are strongly present in the sector. Especially the question of where companies today must invest to remain competitive tomorrow dominated the first trade fair day. ### Networking Yet, the atmosphere remained surprisingly positive and friendly. The simple concept of Transpro – without large show elements but with an open bar and food trucks – ensured many networking opportunities. Drivers, business leaders, suppliers, and policymakers found each other between the stands for an informal chat or a serious discussion about the future of the sector. The conference program also attracted attention. The sessions on international regulations and the mandatory tachograph for vans drew the attention of professionals who want to prepare for new obligations. UPTR hopes that this edition will attract more visitors than the previous one, when Transpro welcomed about 4,000 people over two days. After a busy opening day, that ambition seems already achievable. Transpro runs until Thursday evening, June 4, in Waregem Expo.
